BEOWINE FAIR 23rd-26th February, 2012



 

Exhibition Hall 2 of Belgrade Fair was reserved this year as well for all vintners, wine-makers and all wine lovers and admirers from Serbia and abroad in the period from 23rd till 26th February, 2012.



More than 120 exhibitors from our country and abroad, who  presented 300 wine labels, as well as accessories and equipment for wineries, wine cellars, wine bars and shops, took part in this year's  3rd International Wine Fair - BEOWINE FAIR 2012.

The fair was organized by Belgrade Fair in cooperation with VIVIS-Association of Serbian vine-growers and wine-makers and the association "Serbian Wine". This year, the organizer has particularly focused on Serbian wine and domestic wineries, so all admirers of local wines had an opportunity to get the latest news, taste and buy wines at the stalls of our renowned wineries, such as: Aleksandrović, Kovačević, Mačkov Podrum (Tomcat's Cellar), Stemina, etc. The presence and united display of Local associations of wine-makers from Župa region and Timočka Krajina, Velika Hoča and wine-makers from Sremski Karlovci, were well worth a praise. Zvonko Bogdan winery from Palić, Aleksić winery from Vranje,Trivunović winery from Erdevik, Galot winery from Banatski Karlovac  all had their first appearance at this year's fair.

For all curious wine-lovers who would like to taste something new, wineries from Zeoke village near Lazarevac were present, thus attempting to restore the former glory and to make Lazarevac and Kolubara region recognizable again for its local wines, not only for its coal mine.

During the fair, Challenge Cup was held where the best wines of the fair in 6 different categories were proclaimed. The 30 hours' accompanying programme included: short wine knowing & wine culture courses, book promotions, lectures on geographic origin, food and wine matching, etc.

Under the auspices of Industrial Chamber of Belgrade and Belgrade Fair, a charity dinner was organized accompanied with auction of selected archive wines, and collected funds were donated to the Home for Disabled Children and Youth in Sremčica.

Opening hours for visitors during the first day of the Fair: 10-18h; Opening hours for visitors during the second and third day of the Fair: 10-19h; Opening hours for visitors during the fourth day of the Fair: 10-17h.

Entrance fee remains unchanged compared to the previous year, i.e. 300 RSD.
