Organizers of the Danube Wine Challenge 2021 (held in Chateau Bela, Slovakia) from October 20th-24th, 2021 and dedicated to wines from the Danube countries, invited winemakers from wine regions located in the vicinity of the Danube to submit their wines to the competition for the best wines of the Danube region. The Danube countries share historical, cultural, wine and gastronomic traditions.

The panel of judges at the competition includes renowned international wine experts: oenologists, sommeliers, wine critics and journalists, Masters of Wine, etc.

In addition to silver, gold and grand gold medals, the best wines will be awarded the Vinofed award (for the best dry still wine), a trophy for the best Frankovka of the Danube region and for the best Grüner Veltliner of the Danube region. From this year, a special award will be given for the best orange wine in the Danube region.

Applications for the competition are possible in the period from July 19th to October 1st, 2021. The registration fee for participation in the competition is 40 EUR (VAT not included) per sample.
