WELCOMING PORTUGIESER PRIMEUR 15.11.2012

Primeur release celebration originates from France, the region of Burgundy, where young wine is produced from Gamay grapes and traditionally released  every third Thursday in the month of November.

Over the years, this tradition has spread around the world so nowadays a number of wine countries organize a festive release of primeur.

In Serbia, young wine immediately brings to mind Fruška Gora and Portugieser Blau grapes, which are used to produce young Portugieser wine called "Svatovac". The main celebration of releasing Portugieser primeur has been taking place for a couple of years already, in downtown Novi Sad, in Zmaj Jova's street. Event is organized by Tomcat's Cellar winery on 15.11.2012 at 17h and all visitors van taste this year's Portugieser wine en primeur and enjoy music performance.
