TRANSPORT OF WINE TO COMPETITIONS

The season of international wine competitions has started. Given that Serbia is not in the EU, transporting wines and crossing borders can be a challenging task and also a large expense for wineries. Shipping companies often do not guarantee the safety of bottles, so it may happen that, despite paying high shipping fees, the bottles arrive at the destination damaged. Also, there is always the possibility of the package getting stuck on the EU border owing to EU bureaucracy, so it fails to arrive in time for evaluation.

For several years now, Serbian wineries have been sending their wines as joint shipment by using specialized transport services organized by Miloš Kalapiš. He started this service initially by transporting wines to Bulgaria at the BIWC (Balkans International Wine Competition), and nowadays Miloš has been transporting Serbian wine samples directly to all major wine competitions in Europe.

To make it easier for wineries that plan to send their wines for judging, here is the list of wine competitions and conditions for sending wine samples by using transport services offered by Miloš Kalapiš.
